History, Purpose, and Mission

Snowden-Word Insurance Agency, Inc. is a professional organization dedicated to providing the best insurance products at the most reasonable costs. We serve several thousand clients in the  Vernon Parish and Central Louisiana area, where we specialize in personal and commercial lines of insurance.   

Frank A Word founded the company in 1954, and Dewey Snowden joined the company in 1968. Over the years, Snowden-Word Insurance has grown steadily from our humble beginnings. We have also been recognized as one of the leading agencies in the area for the professionalism we consistently display when attending to our clients' needs and requirements. 

Company Mission

The mission of Snowden-Word Insurance Agency is to provide solutions for the insurance and financial needs of clients in a manner which provides a sense of pride and satisfaction and motivates both parties to recommend this agency. By providing indemnification for property losses, maintaining lifestyles, and providing protection of income producing abilities, this agency will prosper as a service oriented organization.
